5-8 Years Old

Beginning and Immersion - All classes are drop off

5-8 Beg (Beginning)

These 5 to 8 years old are sociable and enjoy seeing their friends each week just like in regular school. Some English will be used throughout the class but is expected to gradually reduce to none when the students reach the Immersion level. We extend our curriculum to cover topics such as school, home, cities and the world.

5-8 IMS (Immersion; Students must have some knowledge of Pinyin)

This is a class where the teacher speaks 100% Mandarin. The main purpose of this course is oral communication and understanding. Reading and writing is introduced through games and children’s learning materials. They interact with each other in Mandarin and have a degree of fluency and spontaneity. The children enhance their speaking skills through show and tell, situational conversations, poem recitations and story composition. Homework will be given regularly.
